For many couples, common marriage problems often start to creep into the relationship over time. Feeling like you have ?fallen out of love? with each other

When you were first dating your spouse, and probably even when you stood in front of your family and friends and said your vows, you felt ?head over heels in love? with each other. For most couples, that giddy feeling doesn?t last over the years. In fact, for many, once the reality of day to day married life sinks in, the feeling starts to fade. Your lives become one of routine, which is perfectly normal. The demands of your work or careers, children and mortgages can take up all of your time and energy. And if you are like some couples, you basically start living like roommates and nothing more. While that scenario is fairly common, marriage problems like this can eventually lead to an affair or a divorce.

Taking each other for granted

Another one of the most common marriage problems is that many couples start taking each other for granted. To some degree, it is human nature to take for granted that which is always there. But in relationships, this can lead to a slow, simmering resentment for one or both of you. Everyone longs to feel loved, cherished, and appreciated. After all, that was a big part of the reason you got married in the first place. No one feels loved when they are taken for granted. When it reaches the point of devaluing each other and failing to regard the relationship as sacred or special, it can be very damaging. Sadly, what often happens is that you don?t even realize just how serious it is until the other person is gone.

Poor communication or failure to really talk to each other

Poor communication or failure to really talk to each other is probably one of the most common marriage problems many couples face. Learning to communicate well is a skill many people lack. Others have the skill and may be great communicators in their career, but struggle with communicating with their spouse. This is particularly true if one or both of you grew up in a home where poor communication was the norm. You talk superficially but avoid discussing problems or issues as they arise. Some people just find it easier to avoid any conflict. Unfortunately, this doesn?t work and in time will take a toll on your relationship if something doesn?t change.

If you and your spouse are struggling with any one of these common marriage problems, there is hope. The first step is acknowledging the problem. The sooner you recognize the problem and take action, the better!

A quick stop by the Intel pavilion here at NAB 2012 revealed our friends from Ceton hiding within, and even though we just saw the Q DVR and Echo companion extender on our last trip to Vegas a few months ago, there's a few new items to show already. As shown above, the mobile companion app that we had only seen so far on Windows Phone 7 is also up and running on Android and iOS. While the apps are still very early in their development they're already running smoothly with metadata provided by Rovi and the usual set of features for DVR scheduling and management. Each one is designed specifically for the platform it's running on, rather than pulling the same UI from one device to all. This seems like a good approach to us, but Ceton's looking for feedback from potential users about what they might prefer. Speaking of potential users -- all those interested in this hardware should keep an eye out as we're told that the plan is to have a beta for the DTS-compatible Echo extender "soon", likely within a few weeks.

Madonna is taking a stand against cigarette smoking, yet glamorizes smoking in her new music video for "Girl Gone Wild," setting off cries of hypocrisy.

The topic came up when The Queen of Pop appeared on Today and was grilled over her 15-year-old daughter Lourdes being caught smoking recently.

Madonna says she "wasn't very happy" about the Lourdes Leon picture, adding "I don't approve of anyone smoking cigarettes, most of all my daughter."

Well, except in the "Girl Gone Wild" video:

Pressed on the apparent hypocrisy of herself smoking seductively in the video, she says it was just an "accessory" and she doesn't smoke in real life.

That's very possible. She can use it as part of her video art form and have no interest in partaking, and certainly wish that her teenager daughter not.

However, its mere presence in the video may influence others, given that Madonna is one of the more glamorous, legendary performers of all time.

Well, at least before MDNA album sales tanked.

There are more than 20 sport clubs offered by University Recreation within the Division of Student Affairs. Sport clubs provide high-quality, structured, competitive and fun recreation activities that give participants the opportunity to?experience physical, social and emotional growth in a safe learning environment. Housed in University Recreation rather than the athletics department, sport clubs are organized?and managed by students.

Sport clubs, however, often require more of a time?commitment, are more expensive and are more competitive than intramural sports.

?Sport clubs are a great way to stay involved on campus but still play the sport you love at a competitive level,? said Ryan Barletta, a senior chemical engineering major and?current Bama Hockey president.

Ann Francis, a junior nursing major, has been riding horses since she was four years old. When she transferred to UA in fall 2010, she expressed interest in continuing to ride horses to a UA administrator. After having conversations with University Recreation, University administrators and Andy Kocher, the owner of Westminster Farm in Northport, the?concept of an equestrian team became a reality. Francis,?who now serves at the president of the equestrian team,?said that interest in the team grew quickly, from an initial 11 students to a current 42 members. With new emails from interested students daily, the equestrian team is going strong.

Team members practice once a week for two hours in small groups of three or four depending on their class schedules and riding levels. Practices are led by head coach Kocher and hunt seat coach Christie Saunders. The team meets monthly and completes more than 200 community service hours collectively each semester.

Diane Harrison, advancement officer for the alumni and corporate relations office in the Culverhouse College of Commerce, is the equestrian team adviser. She said that the students? experience on the team will help them become stronger students, citizens, family members and future employees. ?My hope is that members of the UA equestrian team will learn the importance of hard work, dedication and endurance in every aspect of their life.?

Francis said she feels that she is developing those skills?in both academics and on the team while also building a strong network of friends. ?My favorite thing about being?on the equestrian team is our barn days. Barn days are?team bonding days when we all come together and clean?the barn, do teambuilding activities and get to know each other even better than we already do.?

The Bama Hockey team was developed in 2005, and?has faced many challenges since its inception. With no?hockey rink in Tuscaloosa, team members drive 56 miles to and from Pelham to practice and play in Pelham Civic Center. Despite challenges, the original 15 men who began the?team had the goal to build tradition, and that is what they instilled in their teammates. ?The men before me taught?me that we had to take ourselves seriously if we wanted?others to take us seriously,? Barletta said.

Student officers are tasked with the responsibility of?raising and managing money, organizing buses and hotel rooms for weekend trips, setting up practices and meetings, and keeping the team going.

?There is a huge time commitment from the officers,?captains and coaches. It is challenging to manage the team and keep up with schoolwork, but I have learned so much about time management, communication and relationships while being on the Bama Hockey team,? Barletta said.

He and current head coach Mike Quenneville are proud of where the Bama Hockey team is today. As one of the top hockey sport clubs teams in the SEC, their ultimate goal is to make it to the Hockey National Championship. Quenneville?s other goal is to find funding for the hockey program to reduce the high cost for students and to provide them with safe transportation to and from Pelham Civic Center.

Francis and Barletta have devoted much of their lives to an activity they love. Although the sport clubs they are involved in are very different, they have a few common?factors ? they create a strong bond among team members, provide them with major responsibilities, and give them a?safe learning environment to grow as an athlete, a student and an individual.

?I have learned a lot of life lessons being on the Bama Hockey team,? Barletta said. ?And most importantly, being a part of this sport club let me meet my best friends.?

Francis expressed the same feeling:??I will leave UA with a strong network of people that I learned from and grew so much with. We will always share that?common bond.?

Step in Xtex's $150 My Tablet, a 7-inch device loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3, a 16GB HDD (expandable to 48 GB via its TF card slot) and a 1.5Ghz CPU complimented by 1GB of RAM. That's not all, though, as the device also packs a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, an HDMI output and mini and standard USB ports. That low price does mean you'll be making do with a screen resolution of 800 x 480 and only WiFi connectivity, but you'll get to choose from its very neapolitan-esque black, white and pink colorways. Considering the My Tablet is nearly half the price of an Andy Pad Pro, it sure does looks appetizing on paper -- as long as you keep your expectations reasonable, that is. Update: Apparently, this tablet isn't as new as it seems. As it would turn out, it looks to be a re-badge of the Zync Z990 that's sold in India.
